Rockdale residents can come together and teach local kids and young adults. How to plant,grow,eat vegetables and fruit. This helps feed the hungry,keeps kids involved and busy,can offer community service hours,etc. Non profit of course and anyone who physically maintains garden can eat anything from it. We can donate to local food banks keeps Rockdale soil rich and provides neighbors something to be proud of and look forward to. There is nothing in Rockdale to do.

Have Rockdale allow low income families like myself to have a opportunity to become home owners. By allowing us to fix up and reside in houses that are in distress in Rockdale. Give us the opportunity to rent,rent to own, purchase without having to have great credit and realtors. I can't afford 1,000.00 for rent. I work hard and I deserve to be able to live comfortably like everyone else. I shouldn't have to live in a shady RV park putting myself and family in danger and around shady people. I just want a chance to have something to pass down to my kids. I have a lot on Belton street but I can't afford to have utilities put on it and pay monthly rent where I currently reside. I'm stuck. There are plenty of abandoned and distressed houses in milam county that are just crumbling and becoming dangerous situations for the city.
