Responsibilities

The civic engagement coordinator acts as a liaison from the citizens of Rockdale to their local government. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating community events and outreach efforts to foster a healthy community environment for the citizens of Rockdale and improve overall quality of life.

About Diego

Diego is from Seguin, TX, where he was raised by a public school teacher and a football coach. Growing up, he was taught the importance of hard-work, humility, and the need for effective community leaders. He attended Texas Tech University where he spent 6 years obtaining his BA in Political Science and Master of Public Administration. While in college, Diego spent his time in various roles and leadership positions with the university and the City of Lubbock. He has a passion for meeting new people and will always try to help meet the needs of the community. His hobbies include, running marathons, reading, spending time with family, and taking his dog, Kota on walks.
